FULL NORTHBOUND I-95 CLOSURES AT NW 8 STREET
- Wednesday, July 30, Tuesday, August 12 and Wednesday, August 13 – All northbound I-95 lanes will be closed just north of NW 8 Street between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. to perform roadway and overhead bridge work. Drivers can:
- Access the eastbound I-395 ramp, then exit at NE 2 Avenue/Biscayne Boulevard (Exit 2B)
- Turn right at NE 2 Avenue, then turn right at NE 11 Street
- Turn right at NE 1 Avenue, then access the ramp to I-95 to continue north

I-95 LANE CLOSURES
- Wednesday, July 30 Through Friday, August 1 and Sunday, August 3 through Friday, August 8 – Up to four lanes on southbound I-95 from NW 29 Street to NW 8 Street will be closed as needed between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The Friday closures will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 11 a.m.
- Wednesday, July 30 Through Friday, August 1 and Sunday, August 3 through Friday, August 8 – Up to four lanes on northbound I-95 will be closed as needed from NW 8 Street to NW 29 Street between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The Friday closures will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 11 a.m.
NORTHBOUND I-95 RAMP TO EASTBOUND I-395 DETOUR
- Monday, August 4 through Wednesday, August 6 – The northbound I-95 ramp to eastbound I-395 will be closed between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Drivers can:
- Exit at the NW 2 Street ramp (Exit 2B)
- Continue north on NW 3 Avenue, then turn right on NW 8 Street
- Continue east on NW/NE 8 Street
- Turn left on Biscayne Boulevard to access A1A North/Miami Beach

- Go north on I-95, then exit at NW 62 Street
- Turn left at NW 62 Street to access the southbound I-95 ramp
- Use the southbound I-95 exit to westbound SR 836 (Exit 3A)

- Construction of signature bridge arch foundations east of Biscayne Boulevard
- Driving steel sheets into the ground along the I-395 corridor from east of Biscayne Boulevard to I-95
- Nighttime installation of precast roadway segments from east of North Miami Avenue to NW 1 Avenue
NOTE: Nearby residents and businesses may experience periods of higher-than-normal noise levels during these activities. All efforts are being made to minimize noise levels to the fullest extent possible. - Routine daytime and nighttime testing of ACP foundations
- Ongoing work at the six signature bridge arches, including placement of precast arch segments
- Nighttime and daytime roadway operations on I-395 from MacArthur Causeway to I-95
- Erection of precast arch segments over Biscayne Boulevard requiring full closures from NE 13 Street to NE 11 Terrace
- Construction of temporary foundation in the median and adjacent to Biscayne Boulevard for support towers

SR 836 ONGOING CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES
- Nighttime installation of bridge pier cap segments and beams for the SR 836 double-decked roadway from NW 17 Avenue to the Miami River.
NOTE: Nearby residents and businesses may experience periods of higher-than-normal noise levels during these activities. All efforts are being made to minimize noise levels to the fullest extent possible. - Construction of straddle bent over eastbound SR 836 just west of NW 7 Avenue
- Driving steel sheets into the ground in the SR 836 median between NW 12 Avenue and NW 7 Avenue
- Chipping concrete from auger cast piles for foundation construction between NW 12 Avenue and NW 7 Avenue
- Foundation construction on the SR 836 median and adjacent roadways from NW 12 Avenue to I-95 for the new double-decked roadway
- Pier construction activities in the Miami River east bank between the shoreline and the fendering system
- Pier construction at the Richard E. Gerstein Justice Building parking area
- Ongoing casting of bridge caps
- Construction of double-decked piers at the core of the interchange
COMPLETE CLOSURE OF EASTBOUND SR 836 AT NW 17 AVENUE
- Wednesday, July 30 through Friday, August 8 – All eastbound SR 836 travel lanes will be closed at NW 17 Avenue between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. to work on overhead bridge support structures safely. The closures on Fridays will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. The closure on Saturday, August 2 will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. The start and end times will be adjusted on special event days. The detours noted below and shown here will be in place to guide drivers around the work area. Drivers on eastbound SR 836 will:
- Exit at NW 17 Avenue, then continue south across NW 7 Street
- Turn left at SW 1 Street and continue east
- Turn right at South Miami Avenue
- Turn right to access the ramp to I-95 north or south
- Drivers going to Biscayne Boulevard and the MacArthur Causeway can continue east on SW 1 Street and turn left on Biscayne Boulevard to connect with the MacArthur Causeway entrance ramp at NE 11 Terrace
Drivers on NW 12 Avenue wanting to access eastbound SR 836, I-95, Biscayne Boulevard, and the MacArthur Causeway can continue south on NW 12 Avenue, turn left at SW 1 Street, and follow the detours above.
FULL CLOSURE OF WESTBOUND SR 836
- Wednesday, July 30 through Friday, August 8 – All westbound lanes on SR 836 will be closed from NW 12 Avenue to NW 17 Avenue between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The Friday closures will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. The closure on Saturday, August 2 will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. Closure start times may vary depending on events. Drivers can:
- Exit at the NW 12 Avenue ramp, then turn left on NW 12 Avenue
- Turn right on NW 7 Street
- Turn right on NW 27 Avenue and continue north to connect with the westbound SR 836 ramp

- Wednesday, July 30 Through Friday, August 1 and Sunday, August 3 through Friday, August 8 – Two westbound lanes on SR 836 from I-95 to NW 17 Avenue will be closed as needed for bridge work between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The Friday closures will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m.
- Saturday, August 2 and Sunday, August 3 – One eastbound and westbound lane on SR 836 from NW 12 Avenue to I-95 will be closed for sheet pile installation between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
NW 14 STREET CLOSURE
- Wednesday, July 30 Through Friday, August 1 and Sunday, August 3 through Friday, August 8 – NW 14 Street will be closed from NW 7 Avenue to NW 10 Avenue between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. for materials and equipment delivery.
- Drivers on westbound NW 14 Street can:
- Turn right on NW 7 Avenue, then turn left on NW 17 Street
- Turn left on NW 9 Avenue and follow NW 10 Avenue to connect with NW 14 Street
- Drivers on eastbound NW 14 Street can:
- Turn left on NW 10 Avenue and follow NW 9 Avenue, then turn right on NW 17 Street

- Wednesday, July 30 Through Friday, August 1 and Sunday, August 3 through Friday, August 8 – One lane on southbound NW 7 Avenue will be closed from NW 14 Street to NW 15 Street between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The second southbound lane will be shifted to the east side of the roadway around the work zone.
