I-95 ONGOING CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES
- Installation of Intelligent Transportation System devices
- Concrete pavement replacement on I-95 between NW 8 Street and NW 17 Street
- Widening of the southbound I-95 ramp to NW 14 Street
- Installation of new guardrail from NW 8 Street to NW 17 Street
- Traffic railing retrofit on several bridges
FULL CLOSURE OF NORTHBOUND I-95 AT NW 8 STREET FOR OVERHEAD BRIDGE WORK
- Wednesday, October 1 through Friday, October 3 and Sunday, October 5 – All northbound I-95 lanes will be closed just north of NW 8 Street from 11:45 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. The ramp to westbound SR 836 will also be closed during this time frame. Drivers can:
- Access the eastbound Interstate 395 (I-395) ramp, then exit at NE 2 Avenue/Biscayne Boulevard (Exit 2B)
- Turn right at NE 2 Avenue, then turn right at NE 11 Street
- Turn right at NE 1 Avenue, then access the ramp to I-395 to continue north on I-95 or west on SR 836

I-95 LANE CLOSURES
- Wednesday, October 1 through Friday, October 3 and Sunday, October 5 through Friday, October 10 – Up to four lanes on southbound I-95 from NW 29 Street to NW 8 Street will be closed as needed between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The Friday closures will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 11 a.m.
- Wednesday, October 1 through Friday, October 3 and Sunday, October 5 through Friday, October 10 – Up to four lanes on northbound I-95 will be closed as needed from NW 8 Street to NW 29 Street between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The Friday closures will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 11 a.m.
SOUTHBOUND I-95 RAMP TO NW 14 STREET DETOUR
- Wednesday, October 1 through Friday, October 3 and Sunday, October 5 through Friday, October 10 – The southbound I-95 ramp to NW 14 Street will be closed as needed for materials delivery between 11 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.
- Drivers can:
- Continue west on SR 836 and exit at NW 12 Avenue
- Turn right on NW 12 Avenue to connect with NW 14 Street

NW 8 STREET RAMP TO NORTHBOUND I-95 CLOSURE
- Wednesday, October 1 through Friday, October 3 and Sunday, October 5 – The NW 8 Street ramp to northbound I-95 will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Drivers can:
- Go east on NW 8 Street
- Turn left on NE 1 Avenue
- Enter the westbound I-395 ramp to access northbound I-95

I-395 ONGOING CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES
- Construction of signature bridge arch foundations east of Biscayne Boulevard and west of NE 2 Avenue
- Nighttime installation of precast roadway segments and concrete pours from east of North Miami Avenue to NW 3 Avenue
- Saturday morning sheet pile driving operations adjacent to the Biscayne Boulevard ramp to eastbound MacArthur Causeway
NOTE: Nearby residents and businesses may experience periods of higher-than-normal noise levels during these activities. All efforts are being made to minimize noise levels to the fullest extent possible. - Routine daytime and nighttime testing of ACP foundations
- Ongoing placement of precast arch segments
- Nighttime and daytime roadway operations on I-395 from MacArthur Causeway to I-95
- Arch construction work over Biscayne Boulevard requiring full closures from NE 13 Street to NE 11 Terrace

I-395 MAINLINE LANE CLOSURES
- Wednesday, October 1 through Friday, October 3 and Sunday, October 5 through Friday, October 10 – One lane on mainline eastbound I-395 will be closed as needed from I-95 to Biscayne Boulevard between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.
- Wednesday, October 1 through Friday, October 3 and Sunday, October 5 through Friday, October 10 – Up to two lanes on mainline westbound I-395 will be closed as needed from Biscayne Boulevard to I-95 between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.
WESTBOUND I-395 RAMP TO NORTHBOUND I-95 DETOUR
- Wednesday, October 8 – The westbound I-395 ramp to northbound I-95 will be closed between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Drivers can:
- Access the southbound I-95 ramp
- Exit at SW 7 Street/Brickell Avenue (Exit 1B), then turn left at SW 8 Street
- Enter the northbound I-95 ramp, then continue north on I-95

FULL CLOSURE OF BISCAYNE BOULEVARD, NE 13 STREET AND SOUTHBOUND NORTH BAYSHORE DRIVE
- Wednesday, October 1 through Friday, October 3 and Sunday, October 5 through Friday, October 10 – The following closures will be implemented between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. for drainage improvement work. Daytime lane closures will also be necessary at times. The start and end times will be adjusted on special event days.
- All northbound and southbound lanes on Biscayne Boulevard from NE 14 Street to NE 11 Terrace
- All lanes on NE 13 Street from N Bayshore Drive to NE 2 Avenue
- All southbound lanes on North Bayshore Drive from NE 14 Street to NE 13 Street

SR 836 ONGOING CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES
- Nighttime installation of bridge pier cap segments and beams for the SR 836 double-decked roadway from NW 17 Avenue to the Miami River.
NOTE: Nearby residents and businesses may experience periods of higher-than-normal noise levels during these activities. All efforts are being made to minimize noise levels to the fullest extent possible. - Construction of straddle bent over eastbound SR 836 just west of NW 7 Avenue
- Driving steel sheets into the ground in the SR 836 median between NW 12 Avenue and NW 7 Avenue
- Chipping concrete from auger cast piles for foundation construction between NW 12 Avenue and NW 7 Avenue
- Foundation construction on the SR 836 median and adjacent roadways from NW 12 Avenue to I-95 for the new double-decked roadway
- Pier construction activities in the Miami River east bank between the shoreline and the fendering system
- Pier construction at the Richard E. Gerstein Justice Building parking area
- Ongoing casting of bridge caps
- Construction of double-decked piers at the core of the interchange
COMPLETE CLOSURE OF EASTBOUND SR 836 AT NW 17 AVENUE
- Wednesday, October 1 through Friday, October 3 and Sunday, October 5 through Friday, October 10 – All eastbound SR 836 travel lanes will be closed at NW 17 Avenue between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. to work on overhead bridge support structures safely. The closures on Friday, October 3 and 10, will be implemented between 10 p.m. and 10 a.m. The start and end times will be adjusted on special event days.
The detours noted below and shown here will be in place to guide drivers around the work area. Drivers on eastbound SR 836 will:- Exit at NW 17 Avenue, then continue south across NW 7 Street
- Turn left at SW 1 Street and continue east
- Turn right at South Miami Avenue
- Turn right to access the ramp to I-95 north or south
- Drivers going to Biscayne Boulevard and the MacArthur Causeway can continue east on SW 1 Street and turn left on Biscayne Boulevard to connect with the MacArthur Causeway entrance ramp at NE 11 Terrace
Drivers on NW 12 Avenue wanting to access eastbound SR 836, I-95, Biscayne Boulevard, and the MacArthur Causeway can continue south on NW 12 Avenue, turn left at SW 1 Street, and follow the detours above.
FULL CLOSURE OF WESTBOUND SR 836
- Wednesday, October 1 through Friday, October 3 and Sunday, October 5 through Friday, October 10 – All westbound lanes on SR 836 will be closed from NW 12 Avenue to NW 17 Avenue between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The Friday closures will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. Closure start times may vary depending on events. Drivers can:
- Exit at the NW 12 Avenue ramp, then turn left on NW 12 Avenue
- Turn right on NW 7 Street
- Turn right on NW 27 Avenue and continue north to connect with the westbound SR 836 ramp

- Wednesday, October 1 through Friday, October 3 and Sunday, October 5 through Friday, October 10 – Two eastbound lanes on SR 836 from NW 17 Avenue to I-95 will be closed as needed for bridge work between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The Friday closures will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m.
- Wednesday, October 1 through Friday, October 3 and Sunday, October 5 through Friday, October 10 – Two westbound lanes on SR 836 from I-95 to NW 17 Avenue will be closed as needed for bridge work between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The Friday closures will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m.
FULL CLOSURE OF NW 17 AVENUE
- Wednesday, October 1 and Thursday, October 2 – NW 17 Avenue will be closed as needed between NW 7 Street and the north side of SR 836 between the hours of 11 p.m. and 6:30 a.m.
- Drivers on northbound NW 17 Avenue heading west on SR 836 can:
- Turn west on NW 7 Street
- Turn right on NW 27 Avenue to access the SR 836 west entrance ramp
- Drivers on northbound NW 17 Avenue continuing north can:
- Turn west on NW 7 Street, then turn right on NW 22 Avenue
- Turn right on NW 20 Street to connect with NW 17 Avenue
- Drivers on southbound NW 17 Avenue continuing south can:
- Turn west on NW 20 Street, then turn left on NW 22 Avenue
- Turn left on NW 7 Street to connect with NW 17 Avenue

SOUTHBOUND STATE ROAD (SR) 7/US 441/NW 7 AVENUE LANE CLOSURE
- Wednesday, October 1 through Friday, October 3 and Sunday, October 5 through Friday, October 10 – One lane on southbound NW 7 Avenue will be closed from NW 14 Street to NW 15 Street between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The second southbound lane will be shifted to the east side of the roadway around the work zone.
