FULL NORTHBOUND I-95 CLOSURES AT NW 8 STREET FOR OVERHEAD SIGN WORK
- Wednesday, August 20 – All northbound I-95 lanes will be closed just north of NW 8 Street between the hours of 11 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. to install an overhead sign support structure over the roadway safely. Drivers can:
- Access the eastbound I-395 ramp, then exit at NE 2 Avenue/Biscayne Boulevard (Exit 2B)
- Turn right at NE 2 Avenue, then turn right at NE 11 Street
- Turn right at NE 1 Avenue, then access the ramp to I-95 to continue north

I-95 LANE CLOSURES
- Wednesday, August 20 Through Friday, August 22 and Sunday, August 24 through Friday, August 29 – Up to four lanes on southbound I-95 from NW 29 Street to NW 8 Street will be closed as needed between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The Friday closures will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 11 a.m.
- Wednesday, August 20 Through Friday, August 22 and Sunday, August 24 through Friday, August 29 – Up to four lanes on northbound I-95 will be closed as needed from NW 8 Street to NW 29 Street between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The Friday closures will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 11 a.m.
NORTHBOUND I-95 RAMP TO WESTBOUND SR 836 DETOUR
- Wednesday, August 20 – The northbound I-95 ramp to westbound SR 836 will be closed between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Drivers can:
- Go north on I-95, then exit at NW 62 Street
- Turn left at NW 62 Street to access the southbound I-95 ramp
- Use the southbound I-95 exit to westbound SR 836 (Exit 3A)

- Construction of signature bridge arch foundations east of Biscayne Boulevard and west of NE 2 Avenue
- Nighttime installation of precast roadway segments and concrete pours from east of North Miami Avenue to NW 3 Avenue
NOTE: Nearby residents and businesses may experience periods of higher-than-normal noise levels during these activities. All efforts are being made to minimize noise levels to the fullest extent possible. - Routine daytime and nighttime testing of ACP foundations
- Ongoing placement of precast arch segments

- Thursday, August 21 – All westbound lanes on I-395 will be closed at I-95 between the hours of 11 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. to install bridge beams safely. The I-395 ramps to northbound and southbound I-95, and the ramps from I-95 to westbound SR 836 will remain open during this time frame. Drivers continuing west to SR 836 can:
- Access the southbound I-95 ramp
- Exit at SW 7 Street/Brickell Avenue (Exit 1B), then turn left at SW 8 Street
- Enter the northbound I-95 ramp, then exit at the westbound SR 836 ramp

S.R. 836 ONGOING CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES
- Nighttime installation of bridge pier cap segments and beams for the S.R. 836 double-decked roadway from NW 17 Avenue to the Miami River.
NOTE: Nearby residents and businesses may experience periods of higher-than-normal noise levels during these activities. All efforts are being made to minimize noise levels to the fullest extent possible. - Construction of straddle bent over eastbound S.R. 836 just west of NW 7 Avenue
- Driving steel sheets into the ground in the S.R. 836 median between NW 12 Avenue and NW 7 Avenue

COMPLETE CLOSURE OF EASTBOUND S.R. 836 AT NW 17 AVENUE
- Wednesday, August 20 Through Friday, August 22 and Sunday, August 24 through Friday, August 29 – All eastbound S.R. 836 travel lanes will be closed at NW 17 Avenue between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. to work on overhead bridge support structures safely. The closures on Fridays will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. The start and end times will be adjusted on special event days.
The detours noted below and shown here will be in place to guide drivers around the work area. Drivers on eastbound S.R. 836 will:- Exit at NW 17 Avenue, then continue south across NW 7 Street
- Turn left at SW 1 Street and continue east
- Turn right at South Miami Avenue
- Turn right to access the ramp to I-95 north or south
- Drivers going to Biscayne Boulevard and the MacArthur Causeway can continue east on SW 1 Street and turn left on Biscayne Boulevard to connect with the MacArthur Causeway entrance ramp at NE 11 Terrace
Drivers on NW 12 Avenue wanting to access eastbound SR 836, I-95, Biscayne Boulevard, and the MacArthur Causeway can continue south on NW 12 Avenue, turn left at SW 1 Street, and follow the detours above.

- Wednesday, August 20, Friday, August 22 and Sunday, August 24 through Friday, August 29 – All westbound lanes on S.R. 836 will be closed from NW 12 Avenue to NW 17 Avenue between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The Friday closures will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. Closure start times may vary depending on events. - Exit at the NW 12 Avenue ramp, then turn left on NW 12 Avenue
- Turn right on NW 7 Street

- Saturday, August 23 and Sunday, August 24 – One eastbound and westbound lane on S.R. 836 from NW 12 Avenue to I-95 will be closed for sheet pile installation between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
CLOSURE OF NW 17 AVENUE RAMPS TO WESTBOUND S.R. 836
- Wednesday, August 20 – The NW 17 Avenue entrance ramps to westbound S.R. 836 will be closed for tolling equipment maintenance between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Drivers can:
- Go west on NW 7 Street, turn right on NW 27 Avenue
- Continue north on NW 27 Avenue to access the westbound SR 836 entrance ramp

NIGHTTIME CLOSURES OF NW 15 AVENUE UNDER SR 836 FOR BRIDGE WORK
- Wednesday, August 20 Through Friday, August 22 and Sunday, August 24 through Friday, August 29 – NW 15 Avenue will be closed under SR 836 as needed between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. to allow the project contractor to perform overhead bridge work.
