I-95 ONGOING CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES
- Installation of Intelligent Transportation System devices
- Concrete pavement replacement on I-95 between NW 8 Street and NW 17 Street
- Widening of the southbound I-95 ramp to NW 14 Street
- Installation of new guardrail from NW 8 Street to NW 17 Street
- Traffic railing retrofit on several bridges
FULL CLOSURE OF NORTHBOUND I-95 AT NW 8 STREET FOR OVERHEAD BRIDGE WORK
- Wednesday, October 15 and Thursday, October 16 – All northbound I-95 lanes will be closed just north of NW 8 Street from 11:45 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. The ramp to westbound SR 836 will also be closed during this time frame. Drivers can:
- Access the eastbound Interstate 395 (I-395) ramp, then exit at NE 2 Avenue/Biscayne Boulevard (Exit 2B)
- Turn right at NE 2 Avenue, then turn right at NE 11 Street
- Turn right at NE 1 Avenue, then access the ramp to I-395 to continue north on I-95 or west on SR 836

I-95 LANE CLOSURES
- Wednesday, October 15 through Friday, October 17 and Sunday, October 19 through Friday, October 24 – Up to four lanes on southbound I-95 from NW 29 Street to NW 8 Street will be closed as needed between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The Friday closures will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 11 a.m.
- Wednesday, October 15 through Friday, October 17 and Sunday, October 19 through Friday, October 24 – Up to four lanes on northbound I-95 will be closed as needed from NW 8 Street to NW 29 Street between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The Friday closures will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 11 a.m.
SOUTHBOUND I-95 RAMP TO NW 14 STREET DETOUR
- Wednesday, October 15 through Friday, October 17 and Sunday, October 19 through Friday, October 24 – The southbound I-95 ramp to NW 14 Street will be closed as needed for materials delivery between 11 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.
- Drivers can:
- Continue west on S.R. 836 and exit at NW 12 Avenue
- Turn right on NW 12 Avenue to connect with NW 14 Street

- Wednesday, October 15 through Friday, October 17 and Sunday, October 19 through Friday, October 24 – The southbound I-95 ramp to NW 8 Street will be closed as needed between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Drivers can:
- Continue south on I-95, then exit at the SW 7 Street/Brickell Avenue (Exit 1B) ramp
- Continue to SW 8 Street, then turn left to access the northbound I-95 ramp
- Continue north on I-95 and exit at the NW 2 Street/Arena (Exit 2B) ramp
- Continue north on NW 3 Avenue to connect with NW 8 Street

NW 8 STREET RAMP TO NORTHBOUND I-95 CLOSURE
- Wednesday, October 15 and Thursday, October 16 – The NW 8 Street ramp to northbound I-95 will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. The start and end times will be adjusted on special event days. Drivers can:
- Go east on NW 8 Street
- Turn left on NE 1 Avenue
- Enter the westbound I-395 ramp to access northbound I-95

I-395 ONGOING CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES
- Construction of signature bridge arch foundations east of Biscayne Boulevard and west of NE 2 Avenue
- Nighttime installation of precast roadway segments and concrete pours from east of North Miami Avenue to NW 3 Avenue
- Saturday morning sheet pile driving operations adjacent to the Biscayne Boulevard ramp to eastbound MacArthur Causeway
NOTE: Nearby residents and businesses may experience periods of higher-than-normal noise levels during these activities. All efforts are being made to minimize noise levels to the fullest extent possible. - Routine daytime and nighttime testing of ACP foundations
- Ongoing placement of precast arch segments
- Nighttime and daytime roadway operations on I-395 from MacArthur Causeway to I-95
- Arch construction work over Biscayne Boulevard requiring full closures from NE 13 Street to NE 11 Terrace
- Construction of temporary foundation in the median and adjacent to Biscayne Boulevard for support towers
- Construction of foundations, piers and pier caps from North Miami Avenue to the west of NW 3 Avenue
I-395 MAINLINE LANE CLOSURES
- Wednesday, October 15 through Friday, October 17 and Sunday, October 19 through Friday, October 24 – One lane on mainline eastbound I-395 will be closed as needed from I-95 to Biscayne Boulevard between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.
- Wednesday, October 15 through Friday, October 17 and Sunday, October 19 through Friday, October 24 – Up to two lanes on mainline westbound I-395 will be closed as needed from Biscayne Boulevard to I-95 between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.
FULL CLOSURE OF BISCAYNE BOULEVARD, NE 13 STREET AND SOUTHBOUND NORTH BAYSHORE DRIVE
- Wednesday, October 15 through Friday, October 17 and Sunday, October 19 through Friday, October 24 – The following closures will be implemented between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. for drainage improvement work. Daytime lane closures will also be necessary at times. The start and end times will be adjusted on special event days.
- All northbound and southbound lanes on Biscayne Boulevard from NE 14 Street to NE 11 Terrace
- All lanes on NE 13 Street from N Bayshore Drive to NE 2 Avenue
- All southbound lanes on North Bayshore Drive from NE 14 Street to NE 13 Street

TRAVEL LANE SHIFT ON BISCAYNE BOULEVARD FROM NE 13 STREET TO NE 11 TERRACE
- On Friday morning, October 17, all travel lanes on southbound Biscayne Boulevard and the sidewalk will be shifted slightly to the left to open up additional work space on the right.
NW 1 PLACE DETOUR
- Thursday, October 16 – NW 1 Place will be closed from NW 13 Street to NW 14 Street between 10 p.m. and 10 a.m. to move a crane across the roadway. Drivers can use NW 2 Avenue as an alternate route.
DAYTIME LANE CLOSURES ON NE 2 AVENUE
- Wednesday, October 15 through Friday, October 17 and Sunday, October 19 through Friday, October 24 – Up to two lanes on southbound and northbound NE 2 Avenue from NE 13 Street to I-395 will be closed between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Drivers will be diverted around the work zone.
S.R. 836 ONGOING CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES
- Nighttime installation of bridge pier cap segments and beams for the S.R. 836 double-decked roadway from NW 17 Avenue to the Miami River.
NOTE: Nearby residents and businesses may experience periods of higher-than-normal noise levels during these activities. All efforts are being made to minimize noise levels to the fullest extent possible. - Construction of straddle bent over eastbound S.R. 836 just west of NW 7 Avenue
- Driving steel sheets into the ground in the S.R. 836 median between NW 12 Avenue and NW 7 Avenue
- Chipping concrete from auger cast piles for foundation construction between NW 12 Avenue and NW 7 Avenue
- Foundation construction on the S.R. 836 median and adjacent roadways from NW 12 Avenue to I-95 for the new double-decked roadway
- Pier construction activities in the Miami River east bank between the shoreline and the fendering system
- Pier construction at the Richard E. Gerstein Justice Building parking area
- Ongoing casting of bridge caps
- Construction of double-decked piers at the core of the interchange
COMPLETE CLOSURE OF EASTBOUND S.R. 836 AT NW 17 AVENUE
- Wednesday, October 15 through Friday, October 24 – All eastbound S.R. 836 travel lanes will be closed at NW 17 Avenue between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. to work on overhead bridge support structures safely. The closures on Friday, October 17, will be implemented between 11:30 p.m. and 10 a.m. and if needed, the closure on Saturday, October 18 will be between 10 p.m. and 10 a.m. The start and end times will be adjusted on special event days.
The detours noted below and shown here will be in place to guide drivers around the work area. Drivers on eastbound SR 836 will:- Exit at NW 17 Avenue, then continue south across NW 7 Street
- Turn left at SW 1 Street and continue east
- Turn right at South Miami Avenue
- Turn right to access the ramp to I-95 north or south
- Drivers going to Biscayne Boulevard and the MacArthur Causeway can continue east on SW 1 Street and turn left on Biscayne Boulevard to connect with the MacArthur Causeway entrance ramp at NE 11 Terrace
Drivers on NW 12 Avenue wanting to access eastbound S.R. 836, I-95, Biscayne Boulevard, and the MacArthur Causeway can continue south on NW 12 Avenue, turn left at SW 1 Street, and follow the detours above.
FULL CLOSURE OF WESTBOUND S.R. 836
- Wednesday, October 15 through Friday, October 17 and Sunday, October 19 through Friday, October 24 – All westbound lanes on S.R. 836 will be closed from NW 12 Avenue to NW 17 Avenue between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The Friday closures will be implemented between 11:30 p.m. and 8 a.m., up to two lanes will remain closed until 10 a.m. Closure start times may vary depending on events. Drivers can:
- Exit at the NW 12 Avenue ramp, then turn left on NW 12 Avenue
- Turn right on NW 7 Street
- Turn right on NW 27 Avenue and continue north to connect with the westbound S.R. 836 ramp

- Wednesday, October 15 through Friday, October 17 and Sunday, October 19 through Friday, October 24 – Two eastbound lanes on S.R. 836 from NW 17 Avenue to I-95 will be closed as needed for bridge work between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The Friday closures will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m.
- Wednesday, October 15 through Friday, October 17 and Sunday, October 19 through Friday, October 24 – Two westbound lanes on S.R. 836 from I-95 to NW 17 Avenue will be closed as needed for bridge work between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The Friday closures will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m.
NW 14 STREET CLOSURE
- Wednesday, October 15 through Friday, October 17 and Sunday, October 19 through Friday, October 24 – NW 14 Street will be closed as needed from NW 7 Avenue to NW 10 Avenue between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Additionally, one travel lane on NW 14 Street will be closed from NW 7 Avenue to NW 10 Avenue between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. for bridge work. Traffic will be routed around the work zone.
- Drivers on westbound NW 14 Street can:
- Turn right on NW 7 Avenue, then turn left on NW 17 Street
- Turn left on NW 9 Avenue and follow NW 10 Avenue to connect with NW 14 Street
- Drivers on eastbound NW 14 Street can:
- Turn left on NW 10 Avenue and follow NW 9 Avenue, then turn right on NW 17 Street
- Turn right on NW 7 Avenue to connect with NW 14 Street

NIGHTTIME CLOSURE OF NW SOUTH RIVER DRIVE UNDER S.R. 836 FOR BRIDGE WORK
- Wednesday, October 15 and Thursday, October 16 – NW South River Drive will be closed under S.R. 836 between 10 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. to allow the project contractor to perform work on the bridge over the roadway.

- Wednesday, October 15 through Friday, October 17 and Sunday, October 19 through Friday, October 24 – One lane on southbound NW 7 Avenue will be closed from NW 14 Street to NW 15 Street between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The second southbound lane will be shifted to the east side of the roadway around the work zone.
