TEMPORARY SIDEWALK CLOSURE ON BISCAYNE BOULEVARD
The sidewalk on the west side of Biscayne Boulevard between NE 11 Terrace and NE 13 Street has been temporarily closed to pedestrian traffic. Pedestrians will be redirected to NE 2nd Avenue as indicated above. This sidewalk closure is necessary to allow the project contractor to install foundations next to the sidewalk safely. The sidewalk is scheduled to reopen the week of Monday, June 30.
I-95 ONGOING CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES
- Installation of Intelligent Transportation System devices
- Concrete pavement replacement on I-95 between NW 8 Street and NW 17 Street
- Widening of the southbound I-95 ramp to NW 14 Street
- Installation of new guardrail from NW 8 Street to NW 17 Street
- Traffic railing retrofit on several bridges
CLOSURE OF THE S.R. 112 AND I-195 RAMPS TO NORTHBOUND I-95
- Wednesday, June 25 through Friday, June 27 – The eastbound S.R. 112 and westbound I-195 ramps to northbound I-95 will be closed as needed between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Drivers can:
- Go south on I-95, exit at NW 8 Street, then turn left on NW 8 Street.
- Turn left on NW 3 Avenue to access I-95 north.

I-95 LANE CLOSURES
- Wednesday, June 25 through Friday, June 27 and Sunday, June 29 through Thursday, July 3 – Up to four lanes on southbound I-95 from NW 29 Street to NW 8 Street will be closed as needed between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The Friday closures will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 11 a.m.
- Wednesday, June 25 through Friday, June 27 and Sunday, June 29 through Thursday, July 3 – Up to four lanes on northbound I-95 will be closed as needed from NW 8 Street to NW 29 Street between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The Friday closures will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 11 a.m.
NORTHBOUND I-95 RAMP TO EASTBOUND I-395 DETOUR
- Friday, June 27 – The northbound I-95 ramp to eastbound I-395 will be closed between the hours of 10:30 p.m. and 8:30 a.m. to pour the concrete deck. Drivers can:
- Exit at the NW 2 Street ramp (Exit 2B)
- Continue north on NW 3 Avenue, then turn right on NW 8 Street
- Continue east on NW/NE 8 Street
- Turn left on Biscayne Boulevard to access A1A North/Miami Beach

NORTHBOUND I-95 RAMP TO WESTBOUND S.R. 836 DETOUR
- Sunday, June 29 through Thursday, July 3 – The northbound I-95 ramp to westbound S.R. 836 will be closed between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Drivers can:
- Go north on I-95, then exit at NW 62 Street
- Turn left at NW 62 Street to access the southbound I-95 ramp
- Use the southbound I-95 exit to westbound S.R. 836 (Exit 3A)

SOUTHBOUND I-95 RAMP TO NW 14 STREET DETOUR
- Wednesday, June 25 through Friday, June 27 and Sunday, June 29 through Thursday, July 3 – The southbound I-95 ramp to NW 14 Street will be closed as needed for materials delivery between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m.
- Drivers can:
- Continue west on S.R. 836 and exit at NW 12 Avenue
- Turn right on NW 12 Avenue to connect with NW 14 Street

I-395 ONGOING CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES
- Construction of signature bridge arch foundations east of Biscayne Boulevard
- Driving steel sheets into the ground along the I-395 corridor from east of Biscayne Boulevard to I-95
- Nighttime installation of precast roadway segments from east of North Miami Avenue to NW 1 Avenue
NOTE: Nearby residents and businesses may experience periods of higher-than-normal noise levels during these activities. All efforts are being made to minimize noise levels to the fullest extent possible. - Routine daytime and nighttime testing of ACP foundations
- Ongoing work at the six signature bridge arches, including placement of precast arch segments
- Nighttime and daytime roadway operations on I-395 from MacArthur Causeway to I-95
- Erection of precast arch segments over Biscayne Boulevard requiring full closures from NE 13 Street to NE 11 Terrace
- Construction of temporary foundation in the median and adjacent to Biscayne Boulevard for support towers
- Construction of foundations, piers and pier caps from North Miami Avenue to the west of NW 3 Avenue
I-395 MAINLINE LANE CLOSURES
- Wednesday, June 25 through Friday, June 27 and Sunday, June 29 through Thursday, July 3 – One lane on mainline eastbound I-395 will be closed as needed from I-95 to Biscayne Boulevard between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.
- Wednesday, June 25 through Friday, June 27 and Sunday, June 29 through Thursday, July 3 – Up to two lanes on mainline westbound I-395 will be closed as needed from Biscayne Boulevard to I-95 between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.
DAYTIME LANE CLOSURES ON NE 2 AVENUE
- Wednesday, June 25 through Friday, June 27 and Sunday, June 29 through Thursday, July 3 – Up to two lanes on southbound and northbound NE 2 Avenue from NE 13 Street to I-395 will be closed between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Drivers will be diverted around the work zone.
FULL CLOSURE OF BISCAYNE BOULEVARD
- Wednesday, June 25 through Friday, June 27 and Sunday, June 29 through Thursday, July 3 – All travel lanes on Biscayne Boulevard will be closed from NE 11 Street to NE 13 Street between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Daytime lane closures will occur as needed between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Closure start times may vary depending on events.
- Drivers on southbound Biscayne Boulevard can:
- Turn right on NE 13 Street, then turn left on NE 2 Avenue
- Turn left on NE 8 Street to access Biscayne Boulevard
- Drivers on northbound Biscayne Boulevard can:

CLOSURE OF NORTH MIAMI AVENUE FOR OVERHEAD BRIDGE WORK
- Wednesday, June 25– North Miami Avenue will be closed as needed from NW 13 Street to NW 11 Street between 11:45 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Drivers continuing on North Miami Avenue, south of NW 13 Street, will only have access to the I-395 entrance ramp. Access to businesses between NE 14 Street and NE 13 Street will be maintained. Nearby residents and businesses should anticipate elevated noise levels during the overhead bridge construction activities. The operations will involve large machinery, and walking through the work zone is strictly prohibited. Pedestrians can use the detour shown here.

- Go west on NW 14 Street, then turn left on NW 3 Avenue
- Turn left on NW 10 Street to connect with North Miami

NW 14 STREET DETOUR
- Wednesday, June 25 through Friday, June 27 and Sunday, June 29 through Thursday, July 3 – NW 14 Street from NW 3 Avenue to NW 7 Avenue will be closed as needed between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Daytime closures will also be implemented as needed between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
- Drivers on westbound NW 14 Street can:
- Turn right at NW 3 Avenue, then turn left at NW 17 Street
- Turn left at NW 7 Avenue to connect with NW 14 Street
- Drivers on eastbound NW 14 Street can:
- Turn left at NW 7 Avenue, then turn right at NW 17 Street
- Turn right at NW 3 Avenue to connect with NW 14 Street

S.R. 836 ONGOING CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES
- Nighttime installation of bridge pier cap segments and beams for the S.R. 836 double-decked roadway from NW 17 Avenue to the Miami River.
NOTE: Nearby residents and businesses may experience periods of higher-than-normal noise levels during these activities. All efforts are being made to minimize noise levels to the fullest extent possible. - Construction of straddle bent over eastbound S.R. 836 just west of NW 7 Avenue
- Driving steel sheets into the ground in the S.R. 836 median between NW 12 Avenue and NW 7 Avenue
- Chipping concrete from auger cast piles for foundation construction between NW 12 Avenue and NW 7 Avenue
- Foundation construction on the S.R. 836 median and adjacent roadways from NW 12 Avenue to I-95 for the new double-decked roadway
- Pier construction activities in the Miami River east bank between the shoreline and the fendering system
- Pier construction at the Richard E. Gerstein Justice Building parking area
- Ongoing casting of bridge caps
- Construction of double-decked piers at the core of the interchange
COMPLETE CLOSURE OF EASTBOUND S.R. 836 AT NW 17 AVENUE
- Wednesday, June 25 through Friday, June 27 and Sunday, June 29 through Thursday, July 3 – All eastbound S.R. 836 travel lanes will be closed at NW 17 Avenue between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. to work on overhead bridge support structures safely. The closure on Fridays will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. The detours noted below and shown here will be in place to guide drivers around the work area. The start and end times will be adjusted on special event days. Drivers on eastbound S.R. 836 will:
- Exit at NW 17 Avenue, then continue south across NW 7 Street
- Turn left at SW 1 Street and continue east
- Turn right at South Miami Avenue
- Turn right to access the ramp to I-95 north or south
- Drivers going to Biscayne Boulevard and the MacArthur Causeway can continue east on SW 1 Street and turn left on Biscayne Boulevard to connect with the MacArthur Causeway entrance ramp at NE 11 Terrace
Drivers on NW 12 Avenue wanting to access eastbound S.R. 836, I-95, Biscayne Boulevard, and the MacArthur Causeway can continue south on NW 12 Avenue, turn left at SW 1 Street, and follow the detours above.
FULL CLOSURE OF WESTBOUND S.R. 836
- Wednesday, June 25 through Friday, June 27 and Sunday, June 29 through Thursday, July 3 – All westbound lanes on S.R. 836 will be closed from NW 12 Avenue to NW 17 Avenue between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The Friday closures will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. Closure start times may vary depending on events. Drivers can:
- Exit at the NW 12 Avenue ramp, then turn left on NW 12 Avenue
- Turn right on NW 7 Street
- Turn right on NW 27 Avenue and continue north to connect with the westbound S.R. 836 ramp

- Wednesday, June 25 through Friday, June 27 and Sunday, June 29 through Thursday, July 3 – Two eastbound lanes on S.R. 836 from NW 17 Avenue to I-95 will be closed as needed for bridge work between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The Friday closures will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m.
- Wednesday, June 25 through Friday, June 27 and Sunday, June 29 through Thursday, July 3 – Two westbound lanes on S.R. 836 from I-95 to NW 17 Avenue will be closed as needed for bridge work between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The Friday closures will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m.
SOUTHBOUND STATE ROAD (S.R.) 7/U.S. 441/NW 7 AVENUE LANE CLOSURE
- Wednesday, June 25 through Friday, June 27 and Sunday, June 29 through Thursday, July 3 – One lane on southbound NW 7 Avenue will be closed from NW 14 Street to NW 15 Street between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The second southbound lane will be shifted to the east side of the roadway around the work zone.
