SIGNATURE BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION FROM ABOVE
This drone video offers an aerial view of ongoing construction on the I-395 Signature Bridge. Arches 1, 2, 4, and 5 are closed, while crews continue work on the first of three cast-in-place structural elements for each of the two remaining arches, 3 and 6. Other work shown includes the installation of falsework, formwork, and reinforcing steel, along with concrete pours for the westbound Signature Bridge superstructure, which will ultimately be supported by the arches and stay cables.

I-95 LANE CLOSURES
- Wednesday, September 2, Thursday, September 3 and Tuesday, September 8 through Friday, September 11 – Up to two lanes on southbound I-95 from NW 29 Street to NW 8 Street will be closed as needed between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The Friday closure will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 8 a.m.
- Wednesday, September 2, Thursday, September 3 and Tuesday, September 8 through Friday, September 11 – Up to two lanes on northbound I-95 will be closed as needed from NW 8 Street to NW 29 Street between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The Friday closure will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 8 a.m.
SOUTHBOUND I-95 RAMP TO EASTBOUND I-395 DETOUR
- Wednesday, September 2 and Thursday, September 3 -The southbound I-95 ramp to eastbound I-395 will be closed between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Drivers can:
- Continue south on I-95, exit at the NW 8 Street ramp (Exit 3B)
- Turn left on NW 8 Street, continue east on NW 8 Street
- Turn left at Biscayne Boulevard to access the A1A North/Miami Beach Ramp

NW 17 STREET NIGHTTIME FULL CLOSURE UNDER I-95
- Wednesday, September 2, Thursday, September 3 and Tuesday, September 8 through Friday, September 11 – All travel lanes on NW 17 Street under I-95 will be closed between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. to allow the contractor to work on the bridge over the roadway. Drivers can use NW 20 Street as an alternate route.
I-395 ONGOING CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES
- Construction of signature bridge arch foundations east of Biscayne Boulevard and west of NE 2 Avenue
- Construction of pedestrian bridge over the FEC rail tracks
- Construction of MSE walls that will connect the westbound signature bridge roadway deck to the MacArthur Causeway
- New drainage work at North Bayshore Drive and NE 13 Street
- Reinforcing steel installation and ongoing concrete pours for the westbound signature bridge roadway deck
- Daytime installation of precast roadway segments and concrete pours on NW 14 Street from NW 1 Place to NW 3 Avenue
- Roadway operations on I-395 from MacArthur Causeway to I-95
- Nighttime arch construction work over Biscayne Boulevard requiring full closures from NE 13 Street to NE 11 Terrace
- Construction of columns and installation of bridge beams from NW 1 Avenue to I-95

- Wednesday, September 2, Thursday, September 3 and Tuesday, September 8 through Friday, September 11 – Up to two lanes on mainline westbound I-395 will be closed as needed from Biscayne Boulevard to I-95 between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.
FULL CLOSURE OF BISCAYNE BOULEVARD, NE 13 STREET AND SOUTHBOUND NORTH BAYSHORE DRIVE
- Wednesday, September 2, Thursday, September 3 and Tuesday, September 8 through Friday, September 11 – The following closures will be implemented between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. for drainage and roadway work. Daytime lane closures will also be necessary at times. The start and end times will be adjusted on special event days.
- All northbound and southbound lanes on Biscayne Boulevard from NE 14 Street to NE 11 Terrace
- All lanes on NE 13 Street from N Bayshore Drive to NE 2 Avenue
- All southbound lanes on North Bayshore Drive from NE 14 Street to NE 13 Street

DAYTIME CLOSURES OF SOUTHBOUND NORTH BAYSHORE DRIVE
- Wednesday, September 2 and Thursday, September 3 – Southbound North Bayshore Drive will be closed as needed between NE 13 Street and NE 14 Street, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for drainage work.
- Southbound detour: Drivers traveling southbound on North Bayshore Drive can turn right on NE 15 Street or NE 14 Street to connect with Biscayne Boulevard.
FULL CLOSURE OF NE 2 AVENUE
- Thursday, September 3 – All lanes on NE 2 Avenue will be closed between NE 13 Street and I-395 between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.
- Drivers on southbound NE 2 Avenue can:
- Turn left on NE 14 Street, then turn right on Biscayne Boulevard
- Turn right on NE 11 Street to connect with NE 2 Avenue
- Drivers exiting I-395 can:
- Continue east on NE 11 Terrace, then turn left on Biscayne Boulevard
- Turn left on NE 13 Street to connect with NE 2 Avenue

NW 1 PLACE DETOUR
- Thursday, September 3 – NW 1 Place will be closed from NW 13 Street to NW 14 Street between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. to move a crane across the roadway. Drivers can use NW 2 Avenue as an alternate route.
S.R. 836 ONGOING CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES
- Nighttime installation of bridge pier cap segments and beams for the S.R. 836 double-decked roadway from NW 12 Avenue to I-95 and adjacent to the Miami River
- Construction of straddle bent support structure over eastbound S.R. 836 just west of NW 7 Avenue
- Driving/removing steel sheets into the ground in the S.R. 836 median between NW 12 Avenue and NW 7 Avenue
- Foundation construction on the S.R. 836 median and adjacent roadways from NW 12 Avenue to I-95 for the new double-decked roadway
- Construction of double-decked roadway support piers at the core of the interchange

- Wednesday, September 2, Thursday, September 3 and Tuesday, September 8 through Friday, September 11 – Two westbound lanes on S.R. 836 from I-95 to NW 17 Avenue will be closed as needed for bridge work between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The Friday closure will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 8 a.m.
COMPLETE CLOSURE OF EASTBOUND S.R. 836 AT NW 17 AVENUE
- Wednesday, September 2, Thursday, September 3 and Tuesday, September 8 through Friday, September 11 – All eastbound S.R. 836 travel lanes will be closed at NW 17 Avenue between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The Friday closure will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 8 a.m. The start and end times will be adjusted on special event days.
The detours noted below and shown here will be in place to guide drivers around the work area. Drivers on eastbound S.R. 836 will:- Exit at NW 17 Avenue, then continue south across NW 7 Street
- Turn left at SW 1 Street and continue east
- Turn right at South Miami Avenue
- Turn right to access the ramp to I-95 north or south
- Drivers going to Biscayne Boulevard and the MacArthur Causeway can continue east on SW 1 Street and turn left on Biscayne Boulevard to connect with the MacArthur Causeway entrance ramp at NE 11 Terrace
Drivers on NW 12 Avenue wanting to access eastbound S.R. 836, I-95, Biscayne Boulevard, and the MacArthur Causeway can continue south on NW 12 Avenue, turn left at SW 1 Street, and follow the detours above.
FULL CLOSURE OF WESTBOUND S.R. 836
- Wednesday, September 2, Thursday, September 3 and Tuesday, September 8 through Friday, September 11 – All westbound lanes on S.R. 836 will be closed as needed from NW 12 Avenue to NW 17 Avenue between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The Friday closure will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 8 a.m. The start and end times will be adjusted on special event days. Drivers can:
- Exit at the NW 12 Avenue ramp, then turn left on NW 12 Avenue
- Turn right on NW 7 Street
- Turn right on NW 27 Avenue and continue north to connect with the westbound S.R. 836 ramp
