The project team is working closely with FIFA World Cup 2026 organizers, and local agencies to coordinate construction activities around planned events and minimize impacts to the community, visitors, and event operations. I-95 ONGOING CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES

I-95 LANE CLOSURES
- Wednesday, June 10, through Friday, June 12, and Sunday, June 14, through Friday, June 19 – Up to four lanes on southbound I-95 from NW 29 Street to NW 8 Street will be closed as needed between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The Friday closures will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 11 a.m.
- Wednesday, June 10, through Friday, June 12, and Sunday, June 14, through Friday, June 19 – Up to four lanes on northbound I-95 will be closed as needed from NW 8 Street to NW 29 Street between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The Friday closures will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 11 a.m.
NORTHBOUND I-95 RAMP TO WESTBOUND S.R. 836 DETOUR
- Sunday, June 14 – The northbound I-95 ramp to westbound S.R. 836 will be closed between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Drivers can:
- Go north on I-95, then exit at NW 62 Street
- Turn left at NW 62 Street to access the southbound I-95 ramp
- Use the southbound I-95 exit to westbound S.R. 836 (Exit 3A)

- Wednesday, June 10, Thursday, June 11 and Sunday, June 14 – The northbound I-95 ramp to eastbound I-395 will be closed between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Drivers can:
- Exit at the NW 2 Street ramp (Exit 2B)
- Continue north on NW 3 Avenue, then turn right on NW 8 Street
- Continue east on NW/NE 8 Street
- Turn left on Biscayne Boulevard to access A1A North/Miami Beach

- Drainage work along Biscayne Boulevard from NE 14 Street to NE 11 Terrace and on NE 13 Street from Biscayne Boulevard to NE 2 Avenu
- Construction of signature bridge arch foundations east of Biscayne Boulevard and west of NE 2 Avenue
- Nighttime installation of precast roadway segments and concrete pours over the FEC railway
- Daytime installation of precast roadway segments and concrete pours on NW 14 Street from NW 1 Place to NW 3 Avenue
- Saturday morning sheet pile driving operations adjacent to the Biscayne Boulevard ramp to eastbound MacArthur Causeway
- Nighttime drilling of auger cast piles in the Biscayne Boulevard median just north of I-395
- Roadway operations on I-395 from MacArthur Causeway to I-95
- Nighttime arch construction work over Biscayne Boulevard requiring full closures from NE 13 Street to NE 11 Terrace

FULL CLOSURE OF WESTBOUND I-395/S.R. 836 AND THE I-95 RAMPS TO WESTBOUND S.R. 836
Wednesday, June 10 and Thursday, June 11 – All westbound Interstate 395 (I-395) lanes at Biscayne Boulevard will be closed from 11 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. The I-395 ramps to northbound and southbound I-95 will remain open for drivers using the Downtown Miami ramp to westbound I-395.
Starting at 10 p.m. until 5:30 a.m., westbound State Road (S.R.) 836 will be closed from NW 12 Avenue to NW 17 Avenue, and the northbound and southbound I-95 ramps to westbound S.R. 836 will also be closed.
These closures are necessary to facilitate the staging of a crane and equipment for the safe installation of reinforcing steel and formwork ahead of a concrete pour for a bridge pier adjacent to S.R. 836.
- Drivers on westbound I-395 continuing to S.R. 836 can:
- Exit at the Biscayne Boulevard ramp (Exit 2) and continue west on NE 13 Street
- Turn right on NE 1 Avenue, and then turn left on NW 14 Street
- Continue west on NW 14 Street, turn left onto NW 12 Avenue
- Turn right on NW 7 Street, then right on NW 17 Avenue to access the S.R. 836 entrance ramp
- Downtown Miami drivers heading west to S.R. 836 can:
- Turn right on NE 1 Avenue, and then turn left on NW 14 Street
- Continue west on NW 14 Street, turn left onto NW 12 Avenue
- Turn right on NW 7 Street, then right on NW 17 Avenue to access the S.R. 836 entrance ramp
- NOTE: Drivers entering the ramp will only have access to northbound and southbound I-95
- Drivers on northbound I-95 heading to westbound S.R. 836 can:
- Exit at NW 2 Street (Exit 2B) and continue north on NW 3 Avenue
- Turn left on NW 3 Street, then turn right on NW North River Drive
- Go north on NW 7 Avenue, then turn onto NW 8 Street Road

- Thursday, June 11 – All lanes on NE 2 Avenue will be closed between NE 13 Street and I-395 between the hours of 9:30 p.m. and 6 a.m. for a concrete pour over the roadway. This closure will not be implemented at the same time as the Biscayne Boulevard closure.
- Drivers on southbound NE 2 Avenue can:
- Turn left on NE 14 Street, then turn right on Biscayne Boulevard
- Turn right on NE 11 Street to connect with NE 2 Avenue

SOUTHBOUND NORTH BAYSHORE DRIVE DETOUR
- Thursday, June 11 – Southbound North Bayshore Drive will be closed from NE 14 Street to NE 13 Street between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. Drivers can use NE 14 Street to access Biscayne Boulevard.
S.R. 836 ONGOING CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES
- Nighttime installation of bridge pier cap segments and beams for the S.R. 836 double-decked roadway

COMPLETE CLOSURE OF EASTBOUND S.R. 836 AT NW 17 AVENUE
- Wednesday, June 10, through Friday, June 12, and Sunday, June 14, through Friday, June 19 – All eastbound S.R. 836 travel lanes will be closed at NW 17 Avenue between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The closures on Friday will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 8 a.m. The start and end times will be adjusted on special event days.
The detours noted below and shown here will be in place to guide drivers around the work area. Drivers on eastbound S.R. 836 will:- Exit at NW 17 Avenue, then continue south across NW 7 Street
- Turn left at SW 1 Street and continue east
- Turn right at South Miami Avenue
- Turn right to access the ramp to I-95 north or south
- Drivers going to Biscayne Boulevard and the MacArthur Causeway can continue east on SW 1 Street and turn left on Biscayne Boulevard to connect with the MacArthur Causeway entrance ramp at NE 11 Terrace
Drivers on NW 12 Avenue wanting to access eastbound S.R. 836, I-95, Biscayne Boulevard, and the MacArthur Causeway can continue south on NW 12 Avenue, turn left at SW 1 Street, and follow the detours above.

- Wednesday, June 10 through Friday, June 12 – NW South River Drive will be closed under S.R. 836 between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. to allow the project contractor to perform work on the bridge over the roadway.
