CONTINUOUS LANE CLOSURES ON NE 13 STREET AND BISCAYNE BOULEVARD FOR CRITICAL DRAINAGE WORK
The weekend closure on NE 13 Street noted below and shown above is being implemented to allow the project contractor to continue the installation of new drainage pipes and structures across NE 13 Street to enhance the drainage capacity in the area:
Friday, April 17 through Monday, April 20
NE 13 Street will be continuously closed from Biscayne Boulevard to NE 2 Avenue starting at 11 p.m. on Friday, April 17, until 6 a.m. on Monday, April 20.
- Drivers on northbound Biscayne boulevard can:
- Turn left on NE 11 Street
- Turn right on NE 1 Avenue to connect with NE 13 Street
- Drivers on southbound Biscayne boulevard can:
- Turn right on NE 14 Street
- Turn left on NE 2 Avenue to connect with NE 13 Street

On Friday, April 17 and Sunday, April 19, all Biscayne Boulevard lanes will be closed from NE 11 Street to NE 14 Street between the hours of 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.
Monday, April 20 through Friday, April 24
- NE 13 Street – Two of three lanes will be continuously closed around the clock from Biscayne Boulevard to NE 2 Avenue, with full closures occurring between the hours of 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.
- Biscayne Boulevard – Full closures will be implemented from NE 11 Street to NE 14 Street between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.
Detours for Full Closures of Biscayne Boulevard and NE 13 Street:
- Drivers on northbound Biscayne Boulevard can:
- Turn left on NE 11 Street, then turn right on NE 1 Avenue
- Turn right on NE 14 Street, then turn right on NE 2 Avenue to connect with NE 13 Street
- Or continue east to reconnect with Biscayne Boulevard
- Drivers on southbound Biscayne Boulevard can:
- Turn right on NE 14 Street, then turn left on NE 2 Avenue to connect with NE 13 Street
- Or continue south on NE 2 Avenue, then turn left on NE 11 Terrace to reconnect with Biscayne Boulevard
- Drivers on the MacArthur Causeway ramp to Biscayne Boulevard can:
- Turn right on N. Bayshore Drive, then turn left on NE 14 Street
- Turn left on NE 2 Avenue to connect with NE 13 Street
- Or continue south on NE 2 Avenue, then turn left on NE 11 Terrace to reconnect with Biscayne Boulevard

I-95 LANE CLOSURES
- Wednesday, April 15 through Friday, April 17 and Sunday, April 19 through Friday, April 24 – Up to four lanes on southbound I-95 from NW 29 Street to NW 8 Street will be closed as needed between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The Friday closures will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 11 a.m.
- Wednesday, April 15 through Friday, April 17 and Sunday, April 19 through Friday, April 24 – Up to four lanes on northbound I-95 will be closed as needed from NW 8 Street to NW 29 Street between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The Friday closures will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 11 a.m.
NORTHBOUND I-95 RAMP TO EASTBOUND I-395 DETOUR
- Sunday, April 19 and Monday, April 20 – The northbound I-95 ramp to eastbound I-395 will be closed between the hours of 11:45 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Drivers can:
- Exit at the NW 2 Street ramp (Exit 2B)
- Continue north on NW 3 Avenue, then turn right on NW 8 Street
- Continue east on NW/NE 8 Street
- Turn left on Biscayne Boulevard to access A1A North/Miami Beach

SOUTHBOUND I-95 RAMP TO EASTBOUND I-395 DETOUR
- Wednesday, April 15 – The southbound I-95 ramp to eastbound I-395 will be closed between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Drivers can:
- Continue south on I-95, exit at the NW 8 Street ramp (Exit 3B)
- Turn left on NW 8 Street, continue east on NW 8 Street
- Turn left at Biscayne Boulevard to access the A1A North/Miami Beach Ramp

- Wednesday, April 15 through Friday, April 17 and Sunday, April 19 through Friday, April 24 – The southbound I-95 ramp to NW 14 Street will be closed as needed for materials delivery between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.

- Drainage work along Biscayne Boulevard from NE 14 Street to NE 11 Terrace and on NE 13 Street from Biscayne Boulevard to NE 2 Avenue
- Construction of signature bridge arch foundations east of Biscayne Boulevard and west of NE 2 Avenue
- Installation of precast roadway segments and concrete pours from east of North Miami Avenue to NW 3 Avenue
- Saturday morning sheet pile driving operations adjacent to the Biscayne Boulevard ramp to eastbound MacArthur Causeway

- Monday, April 20 – The westbound I-395 ramp to southbound I-95 will be closed between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Drivers can:
- Go north on I-95, then exit at NW 62 Street
- Turn left at NW 62 Street to access the southbound I-95 ramp

- Wednesday, April 15, Thursday, April 16 and Monday, April 20 through Friday, April 24 – The following closures will be implemented between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. Daytime lane closures will also be necessary at times between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. The start and end times will be adjusted on special event days.
- All northbound and southbound lanes on Biscayne Boulevard from NE 14 Street to NE 11 Terrace
- All lanes on NE 13 Street from N Bayshore Drive to NE 2 Avenue

- Wednesday, April 15 through Friday, April 17 – Up to two lanes on southbound and northbound NE 2 Avenue from NE 13 Street to I-395 will be closed between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Drivers will be diverted around the work zone.
LANE CLOSURES ON NW 14 STREET
- Wednesday, April 15 through Friday, April 17 – One lane on NW 14 Street will be closed from NW 3 Avenue to NW 7 Avenue between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Drivers will be diverted around the work zone.
S.R. 836 ONGOING CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES
- Nighttime installation of bridge pier cap segments and beams for the S.R. 836 double-decked roadway
NOTE: Nearby residents and businesses may experience periods of higher-than-normal noise levels during these activities. All efforts are being made to minimize noise levels to the fullest extent possible. - Construction of straddle bent over eastbound S.R. 836 just west of NW 7 Avenue
- Driving steel sheets into the ground in the S.R. 836 median between NW 12 Avenue and NW 7 Avenue
- Chipping concrete from auger cast piles for foundation construction between NW 12 Avenue and NW 7 Avenue
- Foundation construction on the S.R. 836 median and adjacent roadways from NW 12 Avenue to I-95 for the new double-decked roadway
- Construction of double-decked piers at the core of the interchange

- Wednesday, April 15 through Friday, April 17 and Sunday, April 19 through Friday, April 24 – Two eastbound lanes on S.R. 836 from NW 17 Avenue to I-95 will be closed as needed for bridge work between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The Friday closures will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 9 a.m.
- Wednesday, April 15 through Friday, April 17 and Sunday, April 19 through Friday, April 24 – Two westbound lanes on S.R. 836 from I-95 to NW 17 Avenue will be closed as needed for bridge work between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The Friday closures will be implemented between 10 p.m. and 9 a.m.
COMPLETE CLOSURE OF EASTBOUND S.R. 836 AT NW 17 AVENUE
- Wednesday, April 15 through Friday, April 17 and Sunday, April 19 through Friday, April 24 – All eastbound S.R. 836 travel lanes will be closed at NW 17 Avenue between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Two lanes will be closed at 9 p.m. The closure on Fridays will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. The start and end times will be adjusted on special event days.
The detours noted below and shown here will be in place to guide drivers around the work area. Drivers on eastbound S.R. 836 will:- Exit at NW 17 Avenue, then continue south across NW 7 Street
- Turn left at SW 1 Street and continue east
- Turn right at South Miami Avenue
- Turn right to access the ramp to I-95 north or south
- Drivers going to Biscayne Boulevard and the MacArthur Causeway can continue east on SW 1 Street and turn left on Biscayne Boulevard to connect with the MacArthur Causeway entrance ramp at NE 11 Terrace
Drivers on NW 12 Avenue wanting to access eastbound S.R. 836, I-95, Biscayne Boulevard, and the MacArthur Causeway can continue south on NW 12 Avenue, turn left at SW 1 Street, and follow the detours above.
FULL CLOSURE OF WESTBOUND S.R. 836
- Wednesday, April 15 through Friday, April 17 and Sunday, April 19 through Friday, April 24 – All westbound lanes on S.R. 836 will be closed as needed from NW 12 Avenue to NW 17 Avenue between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The closures on Friday will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m.The start and end times will be adjusted on special event days.
- Drivers on westbound S.R. 836 can:
- Exit at the NW 12 Avenue ramp, then turn left on NW 12 Avenue
- Turn right on NW 7 Street
- Turn right on NW 27 Avenue and continue north to connect with the westbound S.R. 836 ramp

NW 14 STREET CLOSURE
- Wednesday, April 15 through Friday, April 17 and Sunday, April 19 through Friday, April 24 – NW 14 Street will be closed from NW 7 Avenue to NW 10 Avenue between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The closure is necessary to work on bridge columns adjacent to the roadway. Every effort will be made to minimize noise as much as possible; however, nearby residents and businesses may experience periods of higher-than-normal noise levels.
- Drivers on westbound NW 14 Street can:
- Turn right on NW 7 Avenue, then turn left on NW 17 Street
- Turn left on NW 9 Avenue and follow NW 10 Avenue to connect with NW 14 Street
- Drivers on eastbound NW 14 Street can:
- Turn left on NW 10 Avenue and follow NW 9 Avenue, then turn right on NW 17 Street
