I-95 ONGOING CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES
- Installation of Intelligent Transportation System devices
- Concrete pavement replacement on I-95 between NW 8 Street and NW 17 Street
- Widening of the southbound I-95 ramp to NW 14 Street
- Installation of new guardrail from NW 8 Street to NW 17 Street
- Traffic railing retrofit on several bridges
I-95 LANE CLOSURES
- Wednesday, December 3 through Friday, December 5 and Sunday, December 7 through Friday, December 12 – Up to four lanes on southbound I-95 from NW 29 Street to NW 8 Street will be closed as needed between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The Friday closures will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 11 a.m.
- Wednesday, December 3 through Friday, December 5 and Sunday, December 7 through Friday, December 12 – Up to four lanes on northbound I-95 will be closed as needed from NW 8 Street to NW 29 Street between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The Friday closures will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 11 a.m.
NORTHBOUND I-95 RAMP TO EASTBOUND I-395 DETOUR
- Sunday, December 7 and Monday, December 8 – The northbound I-95 ramp to eastbound I-395 will be closed between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Drivers can:
- Exit at the NW 2 Street ramp (Exit 2B)
- Continue north on NW 3 Avenue, then turn right on NW 8 Street
- Continue east on NW/NE 8 Street
- Turn left on Biscayne Boulevard to access A1A North/Miami Beach

SOUTHBOUND I-95 RAMP TO NW 14 STREET DETOUR
- Wednesday, December 3 through Friday, December 5 and Sunday, December 7 through Friday, December 12 – The southbound I-95 ramp to NW 14 Street will be closed as needed for materials delivery between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.
- Drivers can:
- Continue west on S.R. 836 and exit at NW 12 Avenue
- Turn right on NW 12 Avenue to connect with NW 14 Street

NW 8 STREET RAMP TO NORTHBOUND I-95 CLOSURE
- Wednesday, December 3 through Friday, December 5 and Monday, December 8 through Friday, December 12 – The NW 8 Street ramp to northbound I-95 will be closed between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Schedule will be adjusted for special events. Drivers can:
- Go east on NW 8 Street
- Turn left on NE 1 Avenue
- Enter the westbound I-395 ramp to access northbound I-95

SOUTHBOUND I-95 RAMP TO NW 8 STREET DETOUR
- Wednesday, December 3 through Friday, December 5 and Monday, December 8 through Friday, December 12 – The southbound I-95 ramp to NW 8 Street will be closed as needed between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Drivers can:
- Continue south on I-95, then exit at the SW 7 Street/Brickell Avenue (Exit 1B) ramp
- Continue to SW 8 Street, then turn left to access the northbound I-95 ramp
- Continue north on I-95 and exit at the NW 2 Street/Arena (Exit 2B) ramp
- Continue north on NW 3 Avenue to connect with NW 8 Street

I-395 ONGOING CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES
- Drainage work along Biscayne Boulevard from NE 14 Street to NE 11 Terrace and on NE 13 Street from Biscayne Boulevard to NE 2 Avenue
- Construction of signature bridge arch foundations east of Biscayne Boulevard and west of NE 2 Avenue
- Nighttime installation of precast roadway segments and concrete pours from east of North Miami Avenue to NW 3 Avenue
- Saturday morning sheet pile driving operations adjacent to the Biscayne Boulevard ramp to eastbound MacArthur Causeway
NOTE: Nearby residents and businesses may experience periods of higher-than-normal noise levels during these activities. All efforts are being made to minimize noise levels to the fullest extent possible. - Routine daytime and nighttime testing of ACP foundations
- Ongoing placement of precast arch segments
- Nighttime and daytime roadway operations on I-395 from MacArthur Causeway to I-95
- Arch construction work over Biscayne Boulevard requiring full closures from NE 13 Street to NE 11 Terrace

- Wednesday, December 3 through Friday, December 5 and Sunday, December 7 through Friday, December 12 – One lane on mainline eastbound I-395 will be closed as needed from I-95 to Biscayne Boulevard between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.
- Wednesday, December 3 through Friday, December 5 and Sunday, December 7 through Friday, December 12 – Up to two lanes on mainline westbound I-395 will be closed as needed from Biscayne Boulevard to I-95 between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.
WESTBOUND I-395 RAMP TO SOUTHBOUND I-95 DETOUR
- Wednesday, December 3 – The westbound I-395 ramp to southbound I-95 will be closed between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Closure start times may vary depending on events. Drivers can:
- Go north on I-95, then exit at NW 62 Street
- Turn left at NW 62 Street to access the southbound I-95 ramp

FULL CLOSURE OF BISCAYNE BOULEVARD, NE 13 STREET AND SOUTHBOUND NORTH BAYSHORE DRIVE
- Wednesday, December 3 through Friday, December 5 and Sunday, December 7 through Friday, December 12 – The following closures will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. for drainage improvement work. Daytime lane closures will also be necessary at times. The start and end times will be adjusted on special event days.
- All northbound and southbound lanes on Biscayne Boulevard from NE 14 Street to NE 11 Terrace
- All lanes on NE 13 Street from N Bayshore Drive to NE 2 Avenue
- All southbound lanes on North Bayshore Drive from NE 14 Street to NE 13 Street

NW 14 STREET DETOUR
- Wednesday, December 3 through Friday, December 5 and Sunday, December 7 through Friday, December 12 – NW 14 Street from NW 3 Avenue to NW 7 Avenue will be closed as needed between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Daytime lane closures will be implemented as needed between between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
- Drivers on westbound NW 14 Street can:
- Turn right at NW 3 Avenue, then turn left at NW 17 Street
- Turn left at NW 7 Avenue to connect with NW 14 Street
- Drivers on eastbound NW 14 Street can:
- Turn left at NW 7 Avenue, then turn right at NW 17 Street

DAYTIME LANE CLOSURES ON NE 2 AVENUE
- Monday, December 8 through Friday, December 12 – Up to two lanes on southbound and northbound NE 2 Avenue from NE 13 Street to I-395 will be closed between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Drivers will be diverted around the work zone.
S.R. 836 ONGOING CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES
- Nighttime installation of bridge pier cap segments and beams for the S.R. 836 double-decked roadway from NW 17 Avenue to the Miami River.
NOTE: Nearby residents and businesses may experience periods of higher-than-normal noise levels during these activities. All efforts are being made to minimize noise levels to the fullest extent possible. - Construction of straddle bent over eastbound S.R. 836 just west of NW 7 Avenue
- Driving steel sheets into the ground in the S.R. 836 median between NW 12 Avenue and NW 7 Avenue
- Chipping concrete from auger cast piles for foundation construction between NW 12 Avenue and NW 7 Avenue
- Foundation construction on the S.R. 836 median and adjacent roadways from NW 12 Avenue to I-95 for the new double-decked roadway
- Pier construction activities in the Miami River east bank between the shoreline and the fendering system
- Pier construction at the Richard E. Gerstein Justice Building parking area
- Ongoing casting of bridge caps
- Construction of double-decked piers at the core of the interchange
FULL CLOSURE OF S.R. 836
- Wednesday, December 3 through Friday, December 5 and Sunday, December 7 through Wednesday, December 10 – All eastbound and westbound lanes on S.R. 836 will be closed from NW 17 Avenue to NW 12 Avenue between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The start and end times will be adjusted on special event days.
- Drivers on eastbound S.R. 836 can:
- Exit at the NW 17 Avenue South (Ballpark) ramp, then turn right at NW 17 Avenue
- Turn left at NW 7 Street
- Turn left at NW 12 Avenue to connect with eastbound S.R. 836 ramp
- Drivers on westbound S.R. 836 can:
- Exit at the NW 12 Avenue ramp, then turn left on NW 12 Avenue
- Turn right on NW 7 Street
- Turn right on NW 27 Avenue and continue north to connect with the westbound S.R. 836 ramp

COMPLETE CLOSURE OF EASTBOUND S.R. 836 AT NW 17 AVENUE
- Thursday, December 11 and Friday, December 12 – All eastbound S.R. 836 travel lanes will be closed at NW 17 Avenue on Thursday, December 11, between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. and starting at 10 p.m. on Friday, December 12 until 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 13, to pour concrete for an overhead bridge support structures safely. Two lanes will be closed at 9 p.m.
The detours noted below and shown here will be in place to guide drivers around the work area. Drivers on eastbound S.R. 836 will:- Exit at NW 17 Avenue, then continue south across NW 7 Street
- Turn left at SW 1 Street and continue east
- Turn right at South Miami Avenue
- Turn right to access the ramp to I-95 north or south
- Drivers going to Biscayne Boulevard and the MacArthur Causeway can continue east on SW 1 Street and turn left on Biscayne Boulevard to connect with the MacArthur Causeway entrance ramp at NE 11 Terrace
Drivers on NW 12 Avenue wanting to access eastbound S.R. 836, I-95, Biscayne Boulevard, and the MacArthur Causeway can continue south on NW 12 Avenue, turn left at SW 1 Street, and follow the detours above.
S.R. 836 LANE CLOSURES
- Wednesday, December 3 through Friday, December 5 and Sunday, December 7 through Friday, December 12 -Two eastbound lanes on S.R. 836 from NW 17 Avenue to I-95 will be closed as needed for bridge work between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The Friday closures will be implemented between 10 p.m. and 9 a.m.
- Wednesday, December 3 through Friday, December 5 and Sunday, December 7 through Friday, December 12 – Two westbound lanes on S.R. 836 from I-95 to NW 17 Avenue will be closed as needed for bridge work between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The Friday closures will be implemented between 10 p.m. and 9 a.m.
EASTBOUND S.R. 836 RAMP TO SOUTHBOUND I-95 DETOUR
- Wednesday, December 3 and Thursday, December 4 – The eastbound S.R. 836 ramp to southbound I-95 will be closed between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Drivers can:
- Continue east on I-395
- Exit at NE 2 Avenue/Biscayne Boulevard (Exit 2B)
- Turn right on NE 2 Avenue, then turn right on NE 11 Street
- Turn right on NE 1 Avenue to access the I-95 south ramp

SOUTHBOUND NW 12 AVENUE RAMP TO EASTBOUND S.R. 836 DETOUR
- Wednesday, December 3 through Friday, December 5 and Sunday, December 7 through Friday, December 12 – The southbound NW 12 Avenue ramp to eastbound S.R. 836 will be closed between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Drivers can:
- Turn right on NW 14 Street
- Turn left on NW 14 Avenue and continue along NW 11 Street
- Turn left on NW 12 Avenue to access the S.R. 836 east entrance ramp

- Wednesday, December 3 through Friday, December 5 and Sunday, December 7 through Friday, December 12 – NW 10 Avenue will be closed from NW 13 Street to NW 14 Street between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. Daytime single lane closures will be implemented between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
- Northbound drivers on NW 10 Avenue can:
- Go east on NW 13 Street
- Turn left on NW 8 Court
- Turn left on NW 14 Street to connect with NW 10 Avenue
- Southbound drivers on NW 10 Avenue can:
- Go east on NW 14 Street
- Turn right on NW 8 Court
- Turn right on NW 13 Street to access NW 10 Avenue

EXTENDED CLOSURE OF NW 14 STREET
- Friday, December 5 – NW 14 Street from NW 7 Avenue to NW 10 Avenue will be continuously closed starting at 10 p.m. on Friday, December 5 until noon on Saturday, December 6. The closure is necessary for the safe assembly of a crane. Every effort will be made to minimize noise as much as possible; however, nearby residents and businesses may experience periods of higher-than-normal noise levels.
- Drivers on westbound NW 14 Street can:
- Turn right on NW 7 Avenue, then turn left on NW 17 Street
- Turn left on NW 9 Avenue and follow NW 10 Avenue to connect with NW 14 Street
- Drivers on eastbound NW 14 Street can:

- Wednesday, December 3 through Friday, December 5 and Sunday, December 7 through Friday, December 12 – One lane on southbound NW 7 Avenue will be closed from NW 14 Street to NW 15 Street between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The second southbound lane will be shifted to the east side of the roadway around the work zone.
