TEMPORARY SIDEWALK CLOSURE ON BISCAYNE BOULEVARD
The sidewalk on the west side of Biscayne Boulevard between NE 11 Terrace and NE 13 Street has been temporarily closed to pedestrian traffic. Pedestrians will be redirected to NE 2nd Avenue as indicated above. This sidewalk closure is necessary to allow the project contractor to install foundations next to the sidewalk safely. The sidewalk is scheduled to reopen the week of Monday, June 23.

I-95 LANE CLOSURES
- Wednesday, June 11 through Friday, June 13 and Sunday, June 15 through Friday, June 20 – Up to four lanes on southbound I-95 from NW 29 Street to NW 8 Street will be closed as needed between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The Friday closures will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 11 a.m.
- Wednesday, June 11 through Friday, June 13 and Sunday, June 15 through Friday, June 20 – Up to four lanes on northbound I-95 will be closed as needed from NW 8 Street to NW 29 Street between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The Friday closures will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 11 a.m.
NORTHBOUND I-95 RAMP TO WESTBOUND S.R. 836 DETOUR
- Wednesday, June 11 through Friday, June 13 and Sunday, June 15 through Friday, June 20 – The northbound I-95 ramp to westbound S.R. 836 will be closed between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Drivers can:
- Go north on I-95, then exit at NW 62 Street
- Turn left at NW 62 Street to access the southbound I-95 ramp
- Use the southbound I-95 exit to westbound SR 836 (Exit 3A)

NW 8 STREET RAMP TO NORTHBOUND I-95 CLOSURE
- Thursday, June 12, Friday, June 13 and Sunday, June 15 through Friday, June 20 – The NW 8 Street ramp to northbound I-95 will be closed between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Schedules will be adjusted for special events. Drivers can:
- Go east on NW 8 Street
- Turn left on NE 1 Avenue
- Enter the westbound I-395 ramp to access northbound I-95

- Construction of signature bridge arch foundations east of Biscayne Boulevard
- Driving steel sheets into the ground along the I-395 corridor from east of Biscayne Boulevard to I-95
- Nighttime installation of precast roadway segments from east of North Miami Avenue to NW 1 Avenue

- Wednesday, June 11 through Friday, June 13 and Sunday, June 15 through Friday, June 20 – Up to two lanes on mainline westbound I-395 will be closed as needed from Biscayne Boulevard to I-95 between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.
CLOSURE OF THE DOWNTOWN RAMP TO WESTBOUND I-395 AT NE 1 AVENUE
- Wednesday, June 11 – The downtown ramp to westbound I-395 ramp will be closed at NE 1 Avenue between 11:30 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. for surveying work.
- Drivers heading north on I-95 can:
- Go north on NE 1 Avenue, then turn left on NE 14 Street
- Turn left on North Miami Avenue, turn right on NW 8 Street
- Turn right on NW 3 Avenue to access the ramp to northbound I-95
- Drivers heading south on I-95 can:
- Go north on NE 1 Avenue, then turn left on NE 14 Street
- Turn left on North Miami Avenue, turn right on NW 8 Street
- Turn left on NW 3 Court to access the ramp to southbound I-95
- Drivers heading west on S.R. 836 can:

S.R. 836 ONGOING CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES
- Nighttime installation of bridge pier cap segments and beams for the SR 836 double-decked roadway from NW 17 Avenue to the Miami River. All efforts are being made to minimize noise levels to the fullest extent possible.
- Construction of straddle bent over eastbound S.R. 836 just west of NW 7 Avenue
- Driving steel sheets into the ground in the S.R. 836 median between NW 12 Avenue and NW 7 Avenue
- Chipping concrete from auger cast piles for foundation construction between NW 12 Avenue and NW 7 Avenue
- Foundation construction on the S.R. 836 median and adjacent roadways from NW 12 Avenue to I-95 for the new double-decked roadway
- Pier construction activities in the Miami River east bank between the shoreline and the fendering system
- Pier construction at the Richard E. Gerstein Justice Building parking area

COMPLETE CLOSURE OF EASTBOUND S.R. 836 AT NW 17 AVENUE
- Wednesday, June 11 through Friday, June 13 and Sunday, June 15 through Friday, June 20 – All eastbound S.R. 836 travel lanes will be closed at NW 17 Avenue between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. to work on overhead bridge support structures safely. The closure on Fridays will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. The detours noted below and shown here will be in place to guide drivers around the work area. The start and end times will be adjusted on special event days. Drivers on eastbound S.R. 836 will:
- Exit at NW 17 Avenue, then continue south across NW 7 Street
- Turn left at SW 1 Street and continue east
- Turn right at South Miami Avenue
- Turn right to access the ramp to I-95 north or south
- Drivers going to Biscayne Boulevard and the MacArthur Causeway can continue east on SW 1 Street and turn left on Biscayne Boulevard to connect with the MacArthur Causeway entrance ramp at NE 11 Terrace
Drivers on NW 12 Avenue wanting to access eastbound SR 836, I-95, Biscayne Boulevard, and the MacArthur Causeway can continue south on NW 12 Avenue, turn left at SW 1 Street, and follow the detours above.
FULL CLOSURE OF WESTBOUND S.R. 836
- Wednesday, June 11 through Friday, June 13 and Sunday, June 15 through Friday, June 20 – All westbound lanes on S.R. 836 will be closed from NW 12 Avenue to NW 17 Avenue between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The Friday closures will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. Closure start times may vary depending on events. - Exit at the NW 12 Avenue ramp, then turn left on NW 12 Avenue
- Turn right on NW 7 Street
- Turn right on NW 27 Avenue and continue north to connect with the westbound S.R. 836 ramp

- Wednesday, June 11 through Friday, June 13 – One lane on southbound NW 7 Avenue will be closed from NW 14 Street to NW 15 Street between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The second southbound lane will be shifted to the east side of the roadway around the work zone.
