CONCRETE POUR FOR I-395 MAINLINE BRIDGE PIER
Friday, March 6 – Crews will pour concrete for another bridge support pier just east of NE 1 Avenue, as shown above, between 8 p.m. and approximately midnight. During the concrete pour, it will be necessary to vibrate the metal formwork to ensure the concrete is evenly distributed throughout the pier. The contractor will use sound baffles to try to reduce noise from the operation. However, nearby residents and businesses may experience intermittent periods of higher-than-normal noise levels. One lane on NE 1 Avenue will be closed from NE 11 Street to NE 13 Street between 8 p.m. and 1 a.m.
