TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF BISCAYNE BOULEVARD WALKWAY TO EASTBOUND MACARTHUR CAUSEWAY
On Monday, August 3, the Biscayne Boulevard walkway to the eastbound MacArthur Causeway will be temporarily closed between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. to allow the project contractor to safely perform foundation work adjacent to the walkway. Pedestrians will be detoured to the MacArthur Causeway walkway adjacent to the westbound travel lanes as shown in the diagram below.
NIGHTTIME CONCRETE POUR ADJACENT TO NE 2 AVENUE
On Monday, August 3, the project contractor will perform a concrete pour for the new westbound signature bridge superstructure, as shown above. The operation will begin at 10 p.m. and is expected to be completed by 10 a.m. Every effort will be made to minimize noise; however, nearby residents and businesses may experience periods of higher-than-normal noise levels during the work.
LANE CLOSURES ON NE 13 STREET
- Friday, July 31 through Friday, August 7 – Two lanes on NE 13 Street will be closed from Biscayne Boulevard and NE 2 Avenue between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. for roadway work.
DAYTIME CLOSURE OF SOUTHBOUND NORTH BAYSHORE DRIVE
- Friday, July 31 and Monday, August 3 through Friday, August 7 – Southbound North Bayshore Drive will be closed as needed from NE 14 Street to NE 13 Street between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. for drainage work. Drivers on southbound North Bayshore Drive can turn right on NE 15 Street or NE 14 Street to connect with Biscayne Boulevard.
FULL CLOSURE OF BISCAYNE BOULEVARD FROM NE 11 STREET TO NE 13 STREET
- Sunday, August 2 through Friday, August 7 – All travel lanes on Biscayne Boulevard will be closed from NE 11 Street to NE 13 Street between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The start and end times will be adjusted on special event days. Biscayne Boulevard and NE 2 Avenue will not be closed during the same time period.
- Drivers on southbound Biscayne Boulevard can:
- Turn right on NE 13 Street and then turn left on NE 2 Avenue
- Turn left on NE 11 Street to connect with Biscayne Boulevard
- Drivers on northbound Biscayne Boulevard can:
- Turn left on NE 11 Street and then turn right on NE 1 Avenue
- Turn right on NE 14 Street to connect with Biscayne Boulevard
