SATURDAY SHEET PILE DRIVING OPERATIONS ADJACENT TO THE BISCAYNE BOULEVARD RAMP TO EASTBOUND MACARTHUR CAUSEWAY
On Saturday morning, November 8, the contractor will be vibrating steel sheet piles into the ground next to a Metromover pier at the location shown above. This work is being coordinated with the Miami-Dade County Department of Transportation and Public Works and is scheduled to take place during periods when the Metromover system is offline for upgrade activities. The sheet pile installation will occur between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m.
The work is necessary to relocate an existing Metromover Pier to allow for the widening of the roadway. Every effort will be made to minimize noise as much as possible; however, nearby residents and businesses may experience periods of higherthan- normal noise levels. No lane closures will be required for this operation. Schedule information for additional Saturday work will be provided in future updates.
FULL CLOSURE OF BISCAYNE BOULEVARD FOR ARCH CONCRETE POUR
On Tuesday, November 11, all travel lanes on Biscayne Boulevard from NE 13 Street to NE 11 Terrace will be closed between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. to safely carry out the concrete closure pour that will connect the two sections of the tallest of the six signature bridge arches. Drivers can use the following detours:
- Drivers on southbound Biscayne Boulevard can:
- Turn right on NE 13 Street, then turn left on NE 2 Avenue
- Turn left on NE 8 Street to access Biscayne Boulevard
- Drivers on northbound Biscayne Boulevard can:
- Turn left on NE 11 Street, then turn right on NE 1 Avenue
- Turn right on NE 14 Street to connect with Biscayne Boulevard

Starting at 10 p.m. until 5:30 a.m., the following closures will be implemented to continue drainage improvement work along Biscayne Boulevard and NE 13 Street:
- All northbound and southbound lanes on Biscayne Boulevard from NE 14 Street to NE 11 Terrace. The southbound lanes will remain closed until 7 a.m.
- All lanes on NE 13 Street from N Bayshore Drive to NE 2 Avenue
- All southbound lanes on North Bayshore Drive from NE 14 Street to NE 13 Street
