INSTALLATION OF AUGER CAST PILES FOR TEMPORARY SUPPORT TOWERS

As part of the ongoing construction of one of the signature bridge arches, crews will begin installing auger-cast piles in the area shown above for temporary support towers on Sunday, May 17. Work will occur nightly, Sunday through Thursday, between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. The work is expected to take approximately four weeks.
This operation must take place at night because it will require the full closure of Biscayne Boulevard from NE 11 Street to NE 13 Street, as noted below. Every effort will be made to minimize noise; however, nearby residents and businesses may experience periods of higher-than-normal noise levels during these activities.
All travel lanes on Biscayne Boulevard will be closed from NE 11 Street to NE 13 Street between the hours of 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. The start and end times will be adjusted on special event days.
